Five steps.

Every dollar of commission has a paper trail. From the first click on your link to the moment the money lands in your account, here is exactly what happens, in the order it happens.

  1. Step 01

    A click lands.

    Someone in your audience clicks friends.rookhq.com/r/yourcode. We log the click against your partner ID and set a sixty day cookie on .rookhq.com.

    IP hashed for privacy. UTM tags preserved. The click event is the first row in your timeline.

  2. Step 02

    They sign up at Rook.

    Rook ID reads the rook_ref cookie at signup, captures it on their profile, and emits a user.created webhook with your code attached. Attribution survives a private window or a stripped cookie.

    Belt and suspenders: we also accept a server side claim via the internal API, so the link works even when cookies do not.

  3. Step 03

    They subscribe to a paid plan.

    When the new workspace upgrades, Paddle settles the transaction and Rook ID emits subscription.created. We stamp a Commission row with the source amount, the FX rate at that moment, and your tier rate at that moment.

    Same attribution covers every renewal for the tier window. Twelve months at Affiliate or Pro. Lifetime at Elite.

  4. Step 04

    A thirty day hold runs.

    Pending becomes Approved at 03:00 UTC, thirty days after the commission posts. The hold matches the standard refund window, so a chargeback during the hold reverses cleanly.

    You see Pending and Approved as separate counters in the dashboard, in real time.

  5. Step 05

    You get paid.

    On the first of every month, approved commissions above fifty dollars become a Payout. We send via Wise or bank transfer in your declared currency. Annual statement ready every January.

    Below fifty dollars rolls into the next month. Tax form on file, currency conversion locked at posting time, transaction reference saved.
